This bunkhouse was so much fun to dream up! The homeowner wanted a gender neutral space for kids that complimented the “outdoorsy” aesthetic of the rest of the home. We painted a faux deer head and added bluebirds for a fairytale vibe that coordinated with the black and white artwork hanging beneath it. We also made the large canvas art ourselves- using a shower curtain. Yes- a shower curtain! We painted over the trees and deer to add depth and texture. We wanted to create a fun place for kids to come visit, explore and relax on vacation.

Fabric Remnant to Wall Art DIY
I fell in love with this piece of linen fabric and immediately saw a masterpiece of artistry in the block print pattern. I decided to frame it. I purchased a poster frame (yes, that lovely gold frame is actually a poster frame from Target) and used Velcro tabs to adhere the linen fabric to a piece of plain white fabric, then I framed it with the gold frame. What do you think? Can a gorgeous fabric remnant become a beautiful piece of wall art? I think so!

New Build in Aurora
I had the pleasure of designing the theme, color pallet and furnish this entire, newly built home. The homeowner was a dream to work with and is very happy with the look and feel of his new home. He wanted a Rustic, Modern Farmhouse with a touch of Industrial flair. I think we hit the mark.

Vintage Truck Christmas
Pillows on my kitchen bench adds a little festive flair. 🙂 I found this pillow cover at Hobby Lobby and painted the truck onto it. It was a little tricky with the burlap texture but I’m happy with the end result.
A Boy’s Ski Themed Room Design
My son’s ski themed room is finally starting to come together. Mountain painted walls? ✔️ Ski themed duvet cover? ✔️ Ski goggle pillow sham? ✔️ Wooden sign pointing to favorite places to ski? ✔️
⛷My little guy is so excited about his new “ski bedding” and loves the pillow sham with ski goggles on it (Thank you @Amazon !!) 🎿Now I’ll need to finish the other half of the room not pictured here. Stay tuned for the complete reveal. 🙂
Pumpkins and Burlap Monograms
A basket of pumpkins for a warm Fall greeting in our entryway. I love to mix different textures; burlap, cotton, a feathered two and something metallic to add some artistic interest.
Fall Is In The Air
I just love Fall- the smells of baked goods, pumpkin (everything), the beautiful colors of the leaves changing, the cooler weather, gathering with friends and family and having a stronger focus on all that we are grateful for.
Nothing says Fall better than pumpkins! I also happen to have a slight problem with my love for (and collection of) throw pillows and blankets. I change out all my throw pillows every season (I’ll be honest- I change them whenever a new color or pattern strikes me too). I love the painted pumpkin pillows I’ve seen in designer stores but haven’t been fond of the price tag! Eek! So, I decided to take a crack at painting my own pillow covers. I wasn’t sure how they would turn out. But they had a sale on linen, zippered pillow covers at Hobby Lobby so I grabbed a few to try painting my pumpkins. Tell me what you think! 🙂 I can’t wait to use them, but I’m holding off until September 1st to start decorating for Fall! 🙂
British Pub themed basement bar
This is an Inspiration Board for a design job I’m doing on a new build. They want their bar to have a British Pub feel. I’m excited about this one! Stay tuned for more photos and updates on this project! 🙂
Sneak Peak of the “Going Glam” girl’s room I’ve been designing.
Sneak Peak of the little girl's room design I've been working on. We are almost finished! :). I think my favorite thing so far is the custom guitar frame for this musical little girl. Isn't it amazing?
