I really, really love Carrara marble. I don’t love the price tag, but who does? I decided to try painting my existing countertop and using an Epoxy coating. I had a 90’s guest bathroom that I’ve hated since we moved into our house. I decided to take down the ginormous 90’s mirror, change the lighting and faucet and update the countertop. I’m not quite through with this mini renovation but it’s coming along nicely.
This ski lodge themed room was designed for my 11 year old son. He loves skiing very much. Since the ski resorts all closed early due to COVID-19 I thought we would bring the slopes a little closer to him. He was elated!

What does a designer do when they are staying home during COVID-19 and has cabin fever (already) ? Give the kid’s rooms a complete makeover! This astronaut/outer space theme is going to be my 9 year old’s new room. Everything in the photo was purchased on Amazon Home. We are going to start painting tomorrow. 🖌 🎨 Watch for the before and after photos coming soon.

We are so honored to have been featured on Antique Farmhouse’s. Instagram page this morning! We love their website and have made many purchases from them.
I love the onset of fall. It’s my favorite season…. sweater weather, boots, bon-fires, leaves changing, pumpkin spice everything, rich warm toned colors…. what’s not to love? I’ve started decorating my home and front porch for fall. I’m leaning toward the “less is more” simplicity this year. I feel like it gives touches of seasonal vibes while maintaining some elegance.
Somehow the subdued, monochromatic hues don’t feel like fall to me. We decided to plant some vibrant yellow mums in our porch planters and add some orange pumpkins and a touch of purple mums as well. Now our porch is starting to feel a little more “Autum-ish”. 🍁.
May your journey always lead you home. I loved these words so much I had to take this wooden sign home with me. These words are very fitting today…. my husband leaves for Korea this afternoon, where he will reside for the next year. This will be a tough day for the kids and I as we say goodbye to him. We will pray for his safe journey, over the next 12 months, and his safe return next August. Military families are very proud of their loved ones and are very strong….even on days like today.
This one won’t last long! Offered by Chilton Homes, KW.
I have been working on a design project for a young couple who just purchased a new build together. The husband is currently deployed and the wife wants to make sure their home feels “like home” and is a breathtaking sanctuary upon his return. Being a military wife myself this project has really stuck a chord with me. Their colors are Gray, Royal Blue and White. Its going to be crisp and clean with a traditional yet a little modern flair. This is a design board for the couple. Cant wait to share photos of the final result!
