May your journey always lead you home. I loved these words so much I had to take this wooden sign home with me. These words are very fitting today…. my husband leaves for Korea this afternoon, where he will reside for the next year. This will be a tough day for the kids and I as we say goodbye to him. We will pray for his safe journey, over the next 12 months, and his safe return next August. Military families are very proud of their loved ones and are very strong….even on days like today.

Decorating For Christmas
Every year I change the theme and colors I use to decorate for Christmas. I still use most of the basic decor I’ve used before but I change the accent colors and add something new each year. I’ve started decorating this year and wanted a peaceful, calm color-scheme- using gold, white and greenery throughout the house. I’m also adding a touch of red in my kitchen and formal living room. Here are a few photos of what I’ve done so far.

Pumpkins and Burlap Monograms
A basket of pumpkins for a warm Fall greeting in our entryway. I love to mix different textures; burlap, cotton, a feathered two and something metallic to add some artistic interest.
Retro Board Fun!
I love this retro board from @retrogramboards on Instagram ! I’m having fun changing out inspirational quotes and sarcastic sayings. Do you have one of these yet!
Staging in Black Forest Reserve
We had the opportunity to stage a beautiful home in Black Forrest Reserve last week. It was a unique home with a ranch style layout on a few acres in the woods. Check out the concrete floors and Pecan cabinets!

Easy Entry
This is the entry from our garage and a place to hang backpacks on the way in. I used a piece of pallet wood to make the wall hooks.
