Some sunny table dressing just in time for Spring! I love using yellow for spring and summer decor (actually, I like using yellow any time of year!) because it’s such a warm, happy color that adds energy and lifts the spirit!

When I stage homes for resale I always add a touch of something unique to the towels. This adds some design style with the added bonus of ensuring less people use them to dry their hands when visiting a staged property. I added simple raffia and some greenery to the towels in this photo.

No More Ugly Baby Gate!!

This is the new swinging barn door “gate” my BIL made for the top of our stairway. I just love it! No more ugly baby gate!!!!! Whoop whoop! Now to select the stain that will perfectly match to the adjacent railing and kitchen cabinets. To be continued……. 😊.   Here is a photo of the finished barn gate! We are really happy about the way it turned out!

I love how corbels make anything look a little more refined, a little more luxurious or stately. Our kitchen island has had a facelift with new corbels installed. Our kitchen remodel is coming along! Did I mention I love corbels?! 😊#carriagehousestaginganddesign #carriagehousestaging

When I decided to use an entertainment hutch as a server in my dining room something just didn’t look right. I realized that the new hutch was a few inches higher than the one I had used before. The buffet lamps were now covering part of the wall decor. Ouch! 🙂 A little rearrangement was an easy remedy.  Now there is balance back to my dining room wall. What do you think?
