Kitchen Design

I spent the afternoon, with a client, narrowing down some finishes for their new kitchen today. The grey stained poplar will be the island with white shaker cabinets and gorgeous quartz countertops. I really like the satin nickel hardware we selected! I was so impressed with the service at Plush Designs Kitchen and Bath (in downtown Colorado Springs). Kitchen design is so much fun it doesn’t feel at all like work to me! 🙂

Pottery Barn Styling

I love this Pottery Barn console table. I collect snow globes from each place we travel to see. This table helps create a subtle display for them.

Vignette Staging of a Guest Bathroom

I keep decor in bathrooms relatively simple and always use white towels.  People associate white with “clean” in bathrooms. I try to add plants or some greenery in each bathroom I stage or style with Vignettes as well. Plants tend to soften the harshness of bathrooms and dress them up a little.

Sneak Peak of Our Kitchen Renovation

Sneak Peak! We are almost finished resurfacing all the kitchen cabinets. (More photos to follow.) Now I’m thinking our current bar stools don’t quite work with our color scheme anymore. Darn. I will be changing them as well. It seems every project tends to lead to another, and yet another! Lol!

The cabinet resurfacing has begun!

It’s amazing what a coat of paint can do to give kitchen cabinets an entirely new look! I chose Sherwin Williams Ellie Gray and am loving this color!   I’ll be posting all the details, including products used, and a kitchen makeover reveal soon!

This dining room was redesigned with a salvaged table and chairs. There was also a dark, wooden buffet and a smaller dining room table and chairs. We lightened it all up with a modern farmhouse look. We used wax paint on the table and chairs and a chalk paint on the marble topped buffet. We also painted an accent wall with a cool blue/gray shade. The changes gave the whole room a light, airy and cozy feeling. The whole room feels so much larger even though the redesigned furniture is bigger.
